Per Ralph Shanks:  Coiled flaring basket bowl.  Deergrass bundle foundation.  The background wefts are tan juncus and sumac.  The design wefts are orange and black dyed juncus.  The design is a coiled snake on whose body are designs including two swastikas in black and one in orange as well as three other geometric designs.  The basket has an interior workface and the work direction is to the right.  The weft fag ends are primarily clipped.  The rim is plain wrapped with a blunt coil ending with one backstitch. The basket is Cahuilla based on the clipped weft fag ends, the materials, and the design.  There are two hairs woven in at the exterior of the rim.
