Hearst Museum object titled Hanging, accession number 9-21631, described as Wall hanging; Imperial Era; L=188.6cm, W=119.5cm, Border =4.0 cm: horizontal textile made of four joined panels of silk brocade.  Deep blue ground.  Two upper panels contain one large, forward facing dragon at center surrounded by clouds, flaming pearls, bats, floral forms and other Buddhist symbols, in gold, red, light & dark green, pink , white, tan and light & dark blue.  Two lower panels each contain a dragon in profile surrounded by clouds, fire and vegetal motifs floating above elaborate wave/water and floral patterning.   The entire panel is bordered with a borcade gold-on-blue bands edged with golden/yellow silk edging.
Hearst Museum object titled Hanging, accession number 9-21657a,b, described as Pair of wall hangings.  Imperial Era;  made from 2 robe pieces, framed in finely patterned brocade border w/ red& blue trim.   Dragon motif of wrapped gold thread w/ red flames and padded eyes.  Face scales are embroidered over gold.  Dragon grasps a pearl of peace.  Background consists of water stripes, waves, mountains, bats, clouds and Buddhist symbols on a gold backgound and surrounded by a fine (0.2cm) red & blue silk border, a 6 cm border and a 0.8 black silk tape border.  Lining is coarse, beige fabric.  (b) is from the same robe, with the same pattern and in the same colors.

Hearst Museum object titled Purse, accession number 9-21647, described as Purse; Imperial Era.  H=40.6cm, W=25.4cm;  Oval shape (folds to half oval).  Red silk ground w/ pink emborodered peony, blue/green leaves and other flowers in white, purple and pink. some detail of flowers done in forbidden stitch.  Edge decorated w/ fine woven tape plus black bias tape.  Inner front is green silk bordered by 2 different finely woven tapes .  Lining is pink cotton and has been cut at the bottom [to hide coins under lining].  Front and back are joined by black cloth [cottton or linen] that is decorated w/ 15 finely done endless knots of couched metalic thread.
Hearst Museum object titled Skirt, accession number 9-21612, described as Skirt ; L=94.8 cm waist to hem; W= 146.0 cm overlap, 144.5 cm underlap; Imperial Era; Cream sikl w/ woven floral pattern.  Central front panel heafily decorated with w/  blue floral  ad multicolored birds, emborideryed on cream ground, and bordered with blue-embroidered tapes on black ground.  Pleats of skirt are edged w/ embroidered blue floral tapes on black ground and there are emboridered blue flowers between pleats.  Skirt is attached to a wide cotton waistband
Hearst Museum object titled Skirt, accession number 9-21613, described as Skirt: length: 95.0 cm waist to hem; width: 116.5 cm overlap, 116.5 cm underlap: Imperial Era; red, patterned silk, with central front panel and pleaded shirt. Lower ⅓ of front panel is embroidered with pattern including an urn surrounded by flowers (blue, red-orange, white, black, gold, pale blue, and bordered with bands of royal blue. Shirt bottom is banded with the same royal blue. Flowers and butterflies are embroidered randomly on the lower ⅓ of the pleated skirt. Skirt is attached to a wide waist band of dark gray cotton.

Hearst Museum object titled Textile, accession number 9-21673, described as Fabric panel ; L=176 cm x W=76 cm, plus 1 cm white warp thread fringe on each end.  Another  bnd of 1 cm of uncut white warp threads, 8 cm from each end.  Warp white; weft blue-green patterned in tiny diamond shapes.
