Hearst Museum object titled Mola, accession number 3-30206, described as Mola; 41 x 36.5 cm; main motifs: eagle-like bird w/ spread wings on a biplane w/ stylized pantoon; branch appliqued elements include a branch(?) by bird's beak, bird's eye, plane's propeller, supports between paired wings, two branch and leaf motifs used as fill. Fell small triangles w/ multicolored centers; fill on plane and bird, vertical slits. handmade sawtooth of multi colored cloth around main motif. Colors: red, orange, black, violet, green and pink.

Mola; 37 cm l. x 42 cm. w. affixed at top by yellow, red, and black trim and pink machine-made rick rack; bottom is trim 3.5 cm lime colored band topped by a 1 cm. band of red in the middle; all cotton. Motif is 2 feline (?) creatures facing each other standing on a triangular shaped object with a cross in center and knob shape on top. Background filled with geometric shapes w/ two layered dots.; color layers are black on top, orange in the middle and red at bottom layer; other colors back up appliqueed pieces of fill. Faces of ÒcatsÓ are are embroidered, clawfeet of animals are black backed by white material and appear newer than rest of textile.Front and back identical..
