Hearst Museum object titled Thorn carving, accession number 5-16008, described as thorn carving.  female on rectangular base, sitting near a fire cooking gari.  face and hands are very detailed.  holes make the eyes and nostrils.  left foot is missing.  she is working over a flat bowl on 7 small pieces of wood that make up the fire.  she wears a short sleeve dress tied at the waist.  her hair is pulled into a top knot.  stamped on the bottom with George & Isaai (?) P.O. Box 1081, Ibadan 5.5 cm tall, 9 cm long x 7 cm deep.
Hearst Museum object titled Thorn carving, accession number 5-16009, described as carving, thorn. man sitting on short cylinder, working over a fire. He is a blacksmith. His right arm is broken off, but present, his left leg is missing. He wears a sleeveless outfit that comes to his knees. He held something in his hands that is now missing. He works over two mounds, 1 with a stick in it, the other has a hole, but not stick, in front of a fire with black substance depicting coals.
