Hearst Museum object titled Baby carrier, accession number 9-8245, described as Baby carrier; rect. w/cruved top, 2 straps; upper multicolor embroidery on black cotton velveteen, mostly reds & fuschias in floral motifs w/ sequins, butterflies, birds, central bat: lower portion has overall pattern of reverse applique in quatrafoil motif w/white metal boss beads; back is red and white cotton ticking; max. w. 43 cm., h. 69 cm.

Hearst Museum object titled Crupper, accession number 9-8246, described as Crupper (harness part); 6 metal strips and metal wheel, all inlaid with bats and other Tantric (?) symbols in white metal, are attached to leather strips; attached by two loops is tailpiece of orange woven wool over white hair padding; boss on wheel has remnants of red pigment; attachments for saddle broken off; crupper: leather loop (in this case, other materials) passing under a horse’s tail and buckled to the saddle to keep it from slipping forwards.
