Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 2-45419, described as Small, oval, coiled. Body is straw colored with 12 designs made of four squares in cross configuration going around basket in zig-zag pattern. Rim also done in brown. Brown is split devil's claw pod, body is split willow shoot, coiling bundle is split cattail root.  Cattail:  Typha latifolia.  Willow:  Salix gooddingii.  Devil's claw:  Martynia.

Hearst Museum object titled Hat, accession number 18-107, described as Cap, cloth; oval shape; navy blue body with tan cloth trim; top front of cap has insect/bird/fish design in cream and light blue; trim has blue and beige decorations; trim crosses in front and goes back along top sides of head to back where it ties in knot; inside is lined in black cloth; exterior sewn by hand, but inside lining around rim of cap is sewn by machine. Cap worn by men. Length 28 cm.
Hearst Museum object titled Ink pen, accession number 18-106a,b, described as Applicators for hot wax; bamboo handle with spout tipped copper cups; copper is tied onto the bamboo by string at spout end. Used in resist dyeing, to drip hot wax onto the materials to be worked on. (a): has broken spout. Lengthe 10.2 cm. (b): has string also tied onto the bamboo which is split in several places, the string holds it together. Length 13 cm. (including spout tip).
