Foundation and sewing strands of red cedar bark, imbrication in Xerophyllum tenax and wild cherry bark (partly dyed black). Poor condition. Note: appears to be unifinished.
Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 2-62024, described as Round with flaring sides; coiled, imbricated, with loops on rim (one broken off and tied to basket); encircling zigzag band on lower 2/3 of basket, pendant triangles below rim. Made of split red cedar root foundation and sewing strands; imbrication in cedar bark, Xerophyllum tenax, and black-dyed cedar bark.
