Spotted yellow-ochre crackled glaze on exterior including foot.  rim; blue-green interior.  Black ink character (character reads 'virtue') on un-glazed base.  Lid (b) is a dome-hat shape with horizontal flange, tiny finial and small press-molded medallion with berry motif.  Yellow glaze.  Same character on unglazed underside.  H (a) 9.5 cm; max Dia. 11.7cm; H (b) 3.5cm, Dia 7.1 cm Ceramic, wheel-thrown, Lid (b) press-molded.  Yellow and blue-green glazes.

Thick crackled cream glaze, with pinholes and long crazes. Interior glaze uneven. Interior bottom stained dark. Lid (b) carved teak: dome shaped with 3 openwork panels depicting stylized lotus blossom scrolls. Top of dome has 2.2 cm. knob of white jade with green flecks (attached with wood dowel through hole). Lid warped. Height (a) 16 cm. maximum diameter 20.5 cm. Height (b) 7 cm., diameter 15.8 cm.

Very large bulbous ovoid body with high shoulder and relatively narrow base, and very short narrow cylinder mouth/neck. Lid (b) is dome shaped cap that fits over mouth/neck of (a). All-over design of white-reserve prunus blossoms on branches rising from base, and descending from neck; on marbled deep gray-blue underglaze ground. Linear brush-work detail. Saw-tooth pattern band above design on shoulder, and at base. 2 lines around neck. Same blossom design on lid. Interior of each glaze white; recessed base has 4-character mark of K'ang Hsi reign (1662-1722) within irregular double circle. Height (a) 26.5 cm.,  maximum diameter 25 cm. Height (b) 5.3 cm., diameter 12.3 cm.

Octagonal, straight sides to high shoulder, round to short cylindrical neck; round short foot.  Eight panel decorated in underglaze blue on crackled white ground with four alternating motifs; man in Chinese clothing, coin and diamond patterns, landscape and calligraphic texts.  Scalloped cloud patter on shoulder.  Neck broken and mended with lacquer and gilt.  Lid (b) is a disk attached to cylinder with blue swastika-fret pattern on top.  Bag (c) with drawstring is a dark blue silk with brown bottom.  H (a) 8.7cm, max Dia. 6.5cm; (b) H. 2cm, DIa. 3.3cm. Porcelain, underglaze cobalt decoration on crackled white ground. Tea jar, for use in tea ceremony (?) By appearance, the jar could be of Chinese manufacture, however the sild bag suggests its use as a tea jar for Japanese tea ceremony. Jar with lid in silk bag; Porcelain, glaze, silk; Molded ceramic, glazing, sewing; Blue on white, Blue drawstring bag a- 2.5" diam. x 3.5" high b- 1 3/8" diam.. c- Eight-sided porcelain jar with lid.  White ground has blue designs, panels decorated with either writing, scene, person or geometric design.  Cloud pattern on shoulder and swastika on kid.  Round base.  All pieces good condition.

Lamp (a) has small wick holder bowl on tall narrow cylinder pedestal which flares at bottom to wide tripod base with short vertical inner lip (for cover).  Very short square feet attached to flat bottom.  Cover (b) is a wide cylinder with flat top with small knob attached.  1.3 cm hole drilled through top near side; small 'coin' design pierced through side beneath hole on top.  (b) fits over lip of (a) to rest on flat rim.  Glossy green glaze on wick holder and pedestal of (a) and top and side of (b).  Rim and bottom of (a) and interior of (b) not glazed.  Many pin-holes in surface of glaze.  H (a) 8.3cm; max Dia. 11.2 cm; H (b) 10.8cm, Dia. 10.8cm Ceramic, fine grain buff clay, wheel thrown.  Green glaze Night lamp, cover, wick holder.  Cylindrical cover with knob fits over base having mushroom-like burner and three small feet.  Mended.
