: Hearst Museum object titled Arrow, accession number 2-6714, described as With bone point; red-stained wood mainshaft, bone foreshaft with longitudinal grooves and whale tooth inlay; point has 3 barbs on one side and is attached by a plaited sinew line with remnants of red wool yarn; no fletching as that end is badly damaged. Whalebone foreshaft inserted into wooden shaft and secrued with braided sinew; unilaterally barbed ivory tip secured with braided sinew; feathers and proximal end lost. Native name: rruu'aq, rruq.
