Hearst Museum object titled Bowl, accession number 9-14606, described as Bowl, white dress, with champleve enamel and engraved decoration. Squat, widest at shoulder, tapers to sightly narrower flat bottom, short neck. 2 scenes with human figures engraved on sides:Emperor, seated on dais, in garden, surrounded by 9 officials and 1 male dancer. Architectural background, and trees. Other side ; mounted dancer as warrior, holding spear, banner attendant at side, 3 men kneel, 1 holding stags horn, 2 men with swords under pine. Mountains in background. Clothing, tree trunks etc. filled with dark blue enamel. 2 filled holes for handle on 2 sides. 2 dents in shoulder height 8 centimeters max diameter 15.5 centimeters.

Badly damaged: four large chips on exterior which extend inside enamel. Interior has 10cm crack and chip at top, many cracks, chips and water damage. D. 19 cm H. 9.5cm Painted enamel on metal Companion bowl to 9-1068 Painted enamel known in China as Yang Tz'u, "Foreign porcelain," which refers to the foreign origin of the enameling technique. Cups have low waist; fairly straight expanding sides and flared out rim. Interior plain, exterior decorated w/ motif common to all pcs.: polychrome enamel floral scrollwork on dark blue ground. Four reserve medallions containing a different character each (longevity, etc.) in gold. Band around rim containing red, blue, yellow key-fret pattern on turquoise ground. Lids (c&d) are flat-bowl shaped w/narrow cylinder finial, w/ same design on upper side. Saucers (e&f) are bowl-shaped w/ slight lobes in rim and deep depressed centers (pedestal) for foot of bowls. Design on upper side. Gilt on rim of all pcs. (a-d) have coral-red reign mark of Kuang hsu (1875-1908). Chips in rim of (a&b). H. (a&b): 6.3cm. Dia. 10.1; H. (c&d) 1.2cm. Dia, 9.3 H. (e&f) 3.4cm. Dia. 11cm.
