Hearst Museum object titled Cap, accession number 7-6673, described as CAP:  Folds flat on seams joining halves.  One side red, one side black of cotton flannel.  Red side emb. w. "F.A.I." in 1½ inch letters above a black scalloped line.  Black side emb. w. K.N.T." above a red scalloped line.  red and white tassel on cord hangs from top front.  Machine emb.  Cotton flannel.  Embroidery.  Red and black.  Good condition, lined w. coarse black plain weave.  10¾ inches by 5 inches.
Hearst Museum object titled Flag, accession number 7-6662, described as Flag.  Cotton, silk, metal wrapped yarns.  Twill weave, embroidered.  Staff is covered with textile.  Field is padded.  White ground, gold, green, blue and yellow embroidery.  Floral motives.  Sewn through embroidery.  Flag Fan of XVIC form and in the style of Venice.  The material of shich the fan is made is an old Turkish Tomb Towel embroidered in darning stitch and laid gold work.  18 inch staff, 9½ by 11½ field.

Navy ground, multicolor, metallic gold. Mandarin Square - 7th rank (?) emb. in gold couching and multicolor knots. Bird surrounded by various symbols and sundisk on ground of small scrolls on navy satin. Sytlized sea at bottom. ⅞ inch border of flowers and scrolls, flowers filled w. blue knots. Water damaged, gold almost worn away. Lined s. medium blue cotton. Reference: #1-v.26 (1942) Bulletin of the Needle and Bobbin Club. 12½ inches by 11¾ inches.

Open circle of laural around a hammer & sickle emblem.  Plain weave, machine embroidery.  White.  Stained.  2 selvedge edges, 2 hemmed.  7 small holes.  30¾ inches by 26 inches.
Hearst Museum object titled Skirt, accession number 9-13561, described as Skirt.  Wraparound.  Black silk satin ground.  Plain wide upper band.  2nd band of embroidery with 3 dragons.  3rd band of flat strap gold brocade.  Main skirt pleated slightly, and embroidered with 5 large gold dragons and multicolor waves, clouds, bats.  Also 13 small medallions with dragons.  Skirt is 2 panels with slit between.  Strap gold brocade edging along slit, overlapping edge, and lower edge.  Blue lining.  Many tears in black silk.  Worn by a man for formal court occasions, probably with a short jacket.  20th century.  Earlier these skirts were used for burial clothing.  Cost collector $40.00 (old tag).
