Hearst Museum object titled Dog harness, accession number 2-65872, described as Dog harness, leather.  Collar of padded leather, oval shaped; two leather straps of adjustable length with metal buckles and clips at ends, attached to collar at either side; horizontal leather chest strap.  Collar is 21 cm in diameter.  Overall length is 160 cm.  Used by Mr. Frank Pichom on lead dog “Fanny” while prospecting for gold at place called “20 Below Bonanza”, 1887-1900.
