Hearst Museum object titled Embroidered belt, accession number 9-12043a,b, described as Sari border; 2 varying lengths of beige cotton embroidered in floral motifs using multi-colored silk floss; attached to the upper and lower edges of saris.  Although made in Kashmir, this border was used by the donor, a Parsi, and was probably made for the Parsi taste.
