A land otter is depicted around neck of figure. On front and back of chest is design of land otter or mink - shaman's messenger spirit. Height: 42 cm (16½ inches)

Perhaps represents mythical land otter man. Damage to left leg and foot: left leg cracked badly (loose to touch) along grain of wood, on calf of figure; foot (previously restored) broke off completely partially along old restoration and partially with new break. Possible shamanic funerary statue.
