Hearst Museum object titled Pot, accession number 5-813, described as Large ceramic vessel (beer pot); made by women. Flood-silted black clay is shaped by the hands using cattle hoof to shape the inside, and cattle rib to smooth the outside. Not coiled. Made in a cave to prevent cracking. Firing is done in charcoal pits. Native term: osipifile.
