Context of use: Worn by married woman around neck over all other necklaces. During sleep it is turned around. Mother will give necklace to daughter who is married. Then she wears none or a small one- made by women. Description: Necklace- pile of many thin black strands bound in bacl in 3 sections with leather strips.
