Hearst Museum object titled Blouse, accession number 9-22196, described as woman's blouse, ecru silk (?).  selvage edge finish around neck, down lapels and sleeve ends.  proper right lapel has been pieced and edge is finished with a rolled hem.  raw edge along bottom and side slits (8cm).  extraordinarily long sleeves.
Hearst Museum object titled Canopy, accession number 9-22157, described as canopy formed with a central panel of confronting diagrams embroidered in gold thread centered on several Chinese motifs and with a sacred mountain, clouds and waves border at one end on an orange ground.  dragons are grasping flaming jewels plus 2 additional flaming jewels at top of panel.  center panel bordered on 2 sides by rectangular panels of brocaded silk decorated with waves and cloaks, plus one dragon and flaming jewel.  background is caramel colored with yellow/blue/green, white/gray/pink brocade.  this central motif is bordered with a yellow brocade cloud motif border 30.0 cm wide with central panels of dragons.  both borders feature dragons, clouds and flaming jewels plus wave/clouds/sacred mountains border at base of each blue dragon panel.  a pleated ruffle of yellow-green and rust silk hangs downward where the canopy is suspended.  far outer edges on all sides are pale blue silk with card binding.  backed with panels of natural canvas and rust colored heavy silk.  leather straps attached to each corner for hanging.
Hearst Museum object titled Cape, accession number 9-22197, described as ritual shoulder cape.  silk brocade (2 different fabric: gold ground with red geometric patter; yellow ground with blue floral and geometric motifs).  fabrics are appliquéd in a scroll design, bordered with a narrow (1cm) blue/black silk fabric band and a narrow ribbon (.3cm)of turquoise, blue purple/white.  front and back identical except for a 10cm slit from the neck obliquely to proper right.  backed with blue cotton fabric.
Hearst Museum object titled Ceremonial canteen, accession number 9-21899, described as Ceremonial canteen, worn at the belt of a Buddhist monk, suspended typically from a Ritual Scepter (see 9-21866) or a pen case (9-21929).The square of silk forms a sleeve for the hands, the canteen itself is a very small  copper bottle, containing perhaps 2 oz. It has a wooden stopper and an elegant silver throat and cap. Cotton cord safeguards the cap and suspends the body of the canteen. At the other end of the cord is a heavy white ball, probably of coral or shell. See: T-128 pict.

Hearst Museum object titled Hat, accession number 9-22164, described as brown circular hat with bronze colored painting; circular brim decorated on top side with repeating pattern of dragons enclosed in circles and floral motifs, underside floral motif encompassing 8 auspicious symbols (Buddhist); brim surmounted by riser decorated in floral motif and one symbol which appears four times; partially cut through to inside; circular crown surmounts riser.  has three circular bands reducing in size; first floral motif, second repeating squares, third spiral motif; top is mandala with wave motif and five circles; leather padding where hat sits with 6 silk ribbons constructed to affix hat securely on head.
Hearst Museum object titled Hat, accession number 9-22158, described as hat made of 3 different brocade fabrics with rounded crown lined with red cotton fabric.  brim composed 4 segments with flower petal like edges.  each section bound with soft leather.  3 sections of orange and gold brocade backed with silver/green, lavender/white brocade edged with tape of variegated purple, white and blue.  the 4th section is silver/green/lavender/white brocade and woven tape backed with orange and gold brocade fabric.  cord attached to inside of brim forms a chin tie.
