Also used as seat anytime. Full size one is about 1’ high. Stool and table, along with hammocks, are the only furnishings in a traditional Maya house.

There is a small square of plastic placed between tortilla and table to keep tortilla from sticking to table. Table can also be used for eating. Used mainly by peasants in palm-thatched houses.
