Hearst Museum object titled Toy cradleboard, accession number 2-71842, described as Toy Apache cradleboard. Whittled wooden, leather covered slats; willow want curved to support cowhide cover. Decorated w/ blue and clear beads in diagonal pattern on sides and sun hood. Hood also decorated w/ ban of pink and green beads & red paint.

Broad is of willow sticks attached to an oval frame with a full hoop head shade, decorated with red and white cotton strips and blue and white strings of beads. Sides and shade have red cotton winding and straps are red, white & blue braided yarn. L = 7.75”
