Hearst Museum object titled Robe, accession number 9-18224, described as Robe; women’s, blue/black satin weave silk embroidered in pastel shades of pink, blue, green, purple and fuschia; cloud forms, bats, urns, roundels with bamboo, peony, iris, birds and butterflies, water and mountains at hem interspersed with peonies and roses. No collar, brass button and loop closures; lined with pale blue damask weave silk in wisteria pattern. Soiled, worn at neck; may be a wedding robe; first quarter of 20th century.
