Context of use: Dark blue background with pink vertical stripes and rose warps worked in to accent on either side; fringes twisted at ends; square-shaped cloth. Conservation: Good, silk floss faded.

Birds, lions. 73.5 cm x 67.5 cm. Native name: tzute, confradia, man's multipurpose cloth ceremonial. Materials, techniques: singles cotton, dark blue (indigo); sedalina, two-ply in lavender, white, lilac, green, jade, orange; three-ply, orange. Context of use: Blue background with lavender vertical stripes and lavender warps worked in to accent either side; fringes twisted; overall appearance is a rectangular shape. Conservation: Fair, some fading in silk floss; bottom end has unraveled weaving; a slight opening has been patched with black sedalina; three thread-bare areas.
