Made by men; “Silindik” is a small green and yellow bird. Including handle width 43.7 cm. Including handle height 32 cm.
Hearst Museum object titled Birdcage, accession number 18-513, described as Round bird cage for bird called “Balam;” sides of bamboo splints, floor of bamboo strips in twill plaiting; elaborate silvered brass hanging hook (”Sangkutan Sangka”). Also has parts of rattan wood and “Idjuek.” Cage only height ca. 16 cm, diameter 30 cm.
