Native name/meaning: Servilleta/multipurpose cloth. Materials, techniques: Cotton or rayon two, 2-ply and four 2-ply n white; acrylic supp. weft in four, 2-ply orange, light blue; five, 2-ply in orange, turquoise; six, 2-ply in royal blue, fuchsia and green. Context of use: Collected by Linda Green during UREP expedition in 1991. Woven by Isabel Quitz between July-November 1991.White ground cloth with multicolored borders of supp. weft brocading at each warp end. One warp end fringe is cut and knotted, while other warp end fringe is uncut and knotted. Many supp. wefts are left handing loose on the wrong side of the cloth. Geometric iconography.
