Hearst Museum object titled Bell, accession number 3-30743, described as Ceramic Bell: Terracotta bell with a donkey head atop. Head is painted grey, with a pink and blue bow beneath it's chin. Bell is decorated with white hash marks and brown and white zig-zags interspersed with white dots. Possible Guillermina Aguilar piece.

Head is hand modeled and incised then painted grey with a brown forelock and white painted eyes. A yellow band around one side of the neck has a pink tie attached to it. The “skirt” is decorated with 3 painted fronds (blue, yellow and black).

One plays a keyboard, and the 6th figure plays drums. The base drum is inscribe with “Conjunto los Escorpiones”. 2 amplifiers sit at each side of the grouping. A microphone (black w/ gold spots and the letters “TGV) stands at center of the grouping. All figures are mounted on an oval base which is painted green. Tied around the piece is what appears to a head band, black embellished with green glitter “X” and 4 blue glitter dots on each side, and the word “ESCORPION” in silver and red glitter at front. Black ribbon ties are attached at each end and the entire band is tied around the back of the piece. Written in blue ink of base is: “Tonala, Mercado, ‘75” H=11.8cm W=16.0cm L=12.3cm JP-790

Crow wears a billed cap and has no legs; instead a flared stand provides footing. Splayed, square edged tail is incises (with feather patterns) as is the crow’s eyes and hands. “4050” and “RB” are marked on the base in white.
Hearst Museum object titled Figurine, accession number 3-30937, described as FIGURINE: Ceramic figurine of a sitting animal (rabbit?) plying a small drum. Clay is natural with no slip or glaze. Oval body with applied head, ears, legs, tail and “arms”. A drum stick is held in the proper right hand; a small drum with decorative inscribed band is held between the animal’s knees. “Mexico” is stamped in blue ink on the base of the animal’s body. Blanco figure.
