The head clothes are affixed to the wearer’s heads with 3 purple and white rosettes. All have the ends of their fingers painted white. At the near end, between the 2 facing rows of figures stand an angel dressed in white holding a baby. In front of, and facing the angel, stands a figure in short balloon pants, and a pleated cape-like collar, and wearing a mask, which completely covers his face with a white veil. Down his back is a long white steamer to which is affixed a purple projection. His hands are extended to the angel either receiving or handing over the baby. The entire grouping is mounted on a rectangular base painted light green and decorated around the edges with alternating “B”s and triple hash marks. Glued to the base of the grouping was a paper label (now enclosed with figures) marked with “Huecho en Mexico”. Stamped on the base is “Guadalupe Albarez Zanchez, Ocumicho-Michoacan, (illegible) alleden___”. NOTE: 6 of the standing figures have been broken and re-glued in past or are broken now and in need of conservation.
