Hearst Museum object titled Baby doll, accession number 2-71816, described as Mohawk/Iroquois Indian baby doll in birch bark & wood cradle made in European style. Cradle has 2 rockers & a hood, lined w red flannel which also covers baby. Baby is just a head made of coton with stocking knit over it. Black and red beads for features; black mohair hair. Non-traditional Iroquois cradle board. L = 3.5”: W = 1.75”

Black yarn hair. Dressed in same knit fabric suit - trousers & jacket trimmed with yellow/red/green wool looped braid [simulated fringe], and belted jacket w/ metal buckle.

Cradle board is of wood, woven cord and fabric. Holds a baby made from stocking knit with painted hair and embroidered features. H = 9”

Has bright leggings & plastic “leather” high boots, cotton heaad band and sash, w/ a balsa wood, painted drum attached to left hand & drumsticks attached to right hand. Features molded & painted. Black yarn hair on own base.
