: Hearst Museum object titled Axe, accession number 3-24925, described as Axe (picara) with wood handle, iron blade affixed with two nails. Iron blade made from automobile leaf spring. Made by local mestizo smith, used for dressing stone for the pavement of a new town square (zócalo).
