Hearst Museum object titled Charm, accession number 3-15718, described as Ojo de venado. Charm against the evil eye. Consists of a perforated unidentified large seed strung on red-pink string. Bits of pink and red wool at sides. An azabache, a crudely carved fist (but not a figa) presumably of jet, and a bit of tlacopakle wood, said to be a charm against aire, are tied to the seed. Cost 2.50 pesos. Current rate of exchange. 12.50 pesos to $1.60. Purchased in Toluca Market 8/6/58
