Hearst Museum object titled Baby carrier, accession number 9-21169, described as Baby carrier.  Roughly rectangular cloth, widenning gradually at 2 corners so that one edge is wider than corresponding edge; each corner of widest end has a 97 - 111cm “string” sewn on, formed by a narrow rolled-up piece of cloth.  Fully lined with black cloth; at wide end, lining includes appliqued cloth and plain red cloth folded over from front of piece.  Rectangular section of cloth has 3 panels black cloth alternating with two panels of applique (red,  blue, white, and one small green motif, appliqued on blue background).  Widenning end has 2 lengthwise and 2 crosswise panels of applique (all red, white, and blue appliques on blue background; one panel also with green appliques; lengthwise panels have several lines couched yellow thread).  These panels frame 4.7cm x 14.8cm panel white cloth with red supplementary warp or weft (cannot see edges; probably supp. weft) and green and yellow embroidery.  Edges of widenning section also have triangles of plain red cloth sewn on.  62.6cm L x ~38-67cm W.  “Strings” at wide end as noted.
Hearst Museum object titled Head cloth, accession number 9-22596, described as navy blue panel decorated with 4 pointed 1/2 stars and stylized 8 pointed stars plus other star-like designs; dark red, green, maroon, salmon, white and gold.  bound on all 4 sides with alternating red fabric.  1 corner adorned with 8 tassels of red and gold threads finished with 2 beads at the top of each (missing from 1).  tie cords are attached to 2 opposing corners.  1 of decorative tape and one of hand made string.

Hearst Museum object titled Textile, accession number 9-22594, described as fabric panel, black with decorative embroidery at each end in a rectangle (36.5 x 31.2cm).  each decorated end is bound with red, yellow and blue alternating fabric bands and tiny pinwheels in 4 groups of 3, bound in red cording.  each corner is finished with a decorative knot.  embroidery is magenta, green, teal, white, tan and black.
Hearst Museum object titled Textile, accession number 9-22593, described as embroidered panel from woman's tunic; completely embroidered panel.  finished on 3 sides - cut off on one end.  embroidery is in band (10) along each side and across finished end.  center panel is rectangular with alternating decorative bands and geometrically patterned rectangular medallion.  colors are: black, brown, gray, red-orange, maroon.
Hearst Museum object titled Tunic, accession number 9-22591, described as navy blue cotton coat, with kimono collar, sides slit and bound to waist.  back panel at skirt completely embroidered as are 18cm band on each sleeve.  collar band completely embroidered and edged with a band of alternating blue and white beads and magenta thread tufts.  back of neck band has a red and white appliqued panel.  at back of neck is an assemblage of 6 french coins attached to a silver chain.  the end coins have silver chains and bells suspended from them.  all are attached over 7 magenta tassels which are topped by blue and white beads.  center back of jacket appliqued with a small embroidered panel.  all edges (lapels, sleeves, side slits and hem) finished with a red/white and blue woven tape.
Hearst Museum object titled Tunic, accession number 9-22592, described as dark navy blue with long sleeves.  plain neckline, side-slits (31.5cm) to hip.  embroidered detail and tassels at top of slits.  embroidered decoration at back hem, neckband, sleeves, center back and on each front panel.  neck band is finished with red, white, orange and black narrow band.  center front opening band with alternating red and white cuffs bound with band of red white and blue with orange stitching.
Hearst Museum object titled Woven panel, accession number 9-22590, described as 2-panel, woven; stitched together by hand; blue ground with length-wise woven bands yellow (2 shades) green and white.  on one side double band is 17cm wide: opposing band is 5cm and intermediate bands are 5cm wide.  Finished at each end with narrow horizontal bands and short fringe, ca. 3cm.
