Image Missing: Hearst Museum object titled Box with lid, accession number 5-16926, described as Limestone box , pale color with dark spots inside and out (mold ?). No markings to indicate it was ever painted. One of teh width walls is more thick than its opposite. The lid has a rounded square carved into the bottom to make a lip. The top has a very sligh angle upwards to the center to a faint ridge. One side, the angle and ridge are more prominant than the opposite side, which is more worn down. The lid too has dark spots more so in the carved out bottom (mold?)

The inside has also been roughed carved out in an oval shape. The lid is a rough rectangle shape with some layers flaking off. No signs of smoothing. Inside the box wrapped blocks of mud (?) or organic material (?), nearly black in color.

Sides have been smoothed down, corners carefully measured. One length side appears to have crumbled, but was glued back in. The top has a groove for the lid to slide in to make it flush with the height of the box. The lid is also more thin at one end. There are some chipping at the corner and end at the thinest end of the lid. On the box, one of the length walls has crumbled away ⅓ of the end.
