: Hearst Museum object titled Bead, accession number 9-12513, described as Ojime: Carved ivory in the shape of Daruma (Bodhidharma) w/out arms or legs. Cord hole through the middle. Two small holes at side that intersect lower part of cord hole. The ivory is yellow and quite worn. Features in the face are stained dark. H. 1.7 cm.

Resembles a sphinx. Mouth is agape. Cord hole from top of head to bottom of pedestal. H. 2.3 cm.
