Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 1-235270, described as Twined, conical; 5 bands of black design, cloth carrying loops and canvas patch on apex. New rim and mending done by donor. Materials: peeled shoot warp, split peeled shoot weft, split devil's-claw pod (Proboscidea parviflora) black design material. Diagonal twining and 3-strand twining. Original rim was of the kind with warp ends turned leftward into a bundle which was then wrapped and served as a foundation onto which the rim stick was attached by coiling.
