Hearst Museum object titled Bag, accession number 2-45411, described as Beaded cloth "Friendship bag": Multilayered cloth with multicolored floral design in glass "seed" beads. Bottom section square, edged with green ribbon, fringed with purple, blue and red wool yarn, backed with cloth. Two rectangular top strips edged with green ribbon, backed with cloth. Seam between 2 rectangles reddened on inside green ribbon. Rip in lining at upper right edge of bottom piece. Beads missing from lower left corner. 3500 written on lining bottom left corner. Ribbon stained.

Lower half with multicolored glass "seed" beads in geometric design on 2 pieces of cloth. Interior lower half lined with cotton cloth. Lower half with multicolored beads sewn on 2 sections of cloth; sewn to upper. Buckskin fringes sewn to cloth bottom, threaded with cylindrical beads.

Reddish stain inside and on edge of neck. Red and black marks and scratches, bulls head trade mark on inside left sleeve. commercially tanned buckskin, tab attachments "pinked".

Crown with 2 split polished horns attached to interior hide strip. Purple feathers and green-gray fluff in between and at base of horns. Multicolored silk grosgrain (?) ribbons bound to left horn tip. Ten "ermine tails" of rabbit fur sewn about a cord, red felt seized, with black hair tips; fringes at sides.

Quill tipped with green fluff; red and white fur, split white feathers on crown. Back with 12 "ermine tails" of white deer hair with black hair tips on either side of "ermine tails".
