Bottom repaired with skin. Grimy from use. Many breaks. Rounded bottom. Flexible. Plain twined. Bottom 3 strand twined overlay floated on back. Lower half of basket: bands of vertical and diagonal stripes. Upper half: parallel rows of vertically zigzagging parallelograms.

White pattern is Beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax). Close woven conical basket for gathering seeds. Bottom gone. Breaks at lower end. Split hoop sewn on with cordage is broken, part missing. Very grimey. Plain twined. White overlay element floats on back. Lower part of basket: horizontal and vertical striped bands. Major design: stacked parallelograms, 2 light zigzag bands run vertically through them. Fortified around bottom by heavy wooden splint sewed on with twine.
