Hearst Museum object titled Sculpture (reproduction), accession number 21-110, described as Cast of boy and goose, antique copy of a group which enjoyed popularity among the ancients at the creation of Boethos at Carthage.  From a group of Carrara marble in the Glyptothek, formerly in Palazzo Braschi, Rome. Royal Glyptothek, Munich.  Date of this artist (Boethos of Carthage) is unknown. He is assigned to the Hellenistic Age, perhaps 200 BC. So splendidly modeled and naturalistic a child could never have been fashioned by earlier artists.
